Supervisor, Medical Imaging
In addition to daily supervision, this individual will participate in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, supplies, budgeting and financial management and future programs and services.
The Supervisor is a positive, effective member of the Radiology/Medical Imaging management team, fostering a customer/patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards. The individual maintains collaborative multi-disciplinary relationships within and outside of the organization. | |||||
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES |
• | Provides daily support and supervision to Medical Imaging staff, in the delivery of patient care and carrying out strategic vision.

• | Monitors staff resource utilization, including preparing and reviewing daily staff schedules, addressing short-term fluctuations and assigning daily work and/or patient assignments. Reassigns staff as necessary to meet staffing to demand needs.

• | Assists in staff development, training and education and assures compliance with department and System policies and procedures.
|
• | Functions as a coach and role model for staff and monitors performance, recommending corrective action and participating in discipline as needed. Assists in completing performance evaluations for staff.
|
• | Facilitate efficient patient flow through the system and/or area. Implements plans and tactics for area of responsibility to expedite length of stay and improve patient thorough put.
|
• | Assists manger in monitoring and maintaining supply resource utilization and expense, within established budget parameters.
|
• | Assists manager with monitoring, evaluating and modifying department and management scorecard plans. Implements and evaluates plan effectiveness.
|
• | Monitors, evaluates, and intervenes on Image quality and other QA projects.
|
• | Participates in frontline interventions, monitors staff, and patient response to care. Markets service to internal and external customers, maintaining service excellence.

• | Implements new and updated patient and staff policies and procedures that align with organization and governing body regulations and practices.
|
