Maintenance Supervisor: Freeport, Illinois

We are pursuing an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client’s Manufacturing Maintenance team. This role involves direct repair, planned maintenance, and project activities to ensure optimal functioning of plant equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and direct technicians in maintaining high standards of operational readiness, working towards the greater good of the company’s productivity and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
• Evaluate workload and distribute amongst all shifts
• Oversee, train, and mentor team in best practices and compliance
• Enforce standards of safety and maintain a clean work environment
• Evaluate employee performance and skills, providing feedback as needed
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Collaborate on parts needs and work order planning
• Assist with employee annual evaluations and training

Skills & Experience:

• Education: Associates Degree in an engineering or business-related field, an apprenticeship program, or technical school, preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a technical field
• Software: Intermediate computer skills
• Expertise: Strong math, mechanical, electrical, and managerial skills
• Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, or bending for 90% of each shift and manual lifting up to 50 pounds

Pay: $65,000- $75,000/yr., based on experience and capabilities

Type: 1st Shift, Full-time, onsite (no hybrid or WFH)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., AND work one day every 3^rd weekend
