Rock River Development Partnership/Rockford City Market
Focus of Position
Collaborate with RRDP board members to ensure significance, vibrancy and sustainability of Rockford City Market (RCM), Indoor Market, and approved ancillary initiatives and programs.
Serve as primary advocate for RCM, maintaining an extensive network to ensure organizational success and regional support.
Ensure the overall success of RCM through evaluating and reporting business segments through measurable goals, KPIs.
Maintain rapport and collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Objectives
Develop and oversee a high performing team who drive innovation, attract public interest and use, and deliver a quality product.
Ensure full occupancy of the Indoor Market by maintaining a quality facility and attention to tenant needs.
Drive high attendance numbers at outdoor markets through promotion, programming, logistics and staffing.
Ensure effective and efficient use of resources to achieve organizational goals and maintain financial stability. Master key indicators that drive operational success and inform quality decision-making.
Ensure implementation of best practices for fiscal management. Base decision-making on financial projections coupled with mission.
Cultivate relationships with board members, civic leaders, downtown partners, vendors, and tenants to enhance RRDP visibility and foster support from the regional community.
Maintain a working knowledge of trends regarding community markets, private event planning, and culinary activities.
Work closely with community stakeholders to build and maintain interest in RCM/Indoor Market space and programs.
Promote success through an informed and engaged board of directors, tapping individual’s expertise and network.
Maintain knowledge of community issues, opportunities and leadership.
Expected Outcomes
Establish RCM/Indoor Market as a recognized top 5 destination for space, amenities, and programming.
Establish RCM/Indoor Market as a location of choice for emerging entrepreneurs and private event planners.
Extensive network of promoters, influencers and supporters.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with course work in business management, accounting or finance, or marketing preferred Sales or fund development experience ideal.
Minimum of 7 years work experience with progressive responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to apply best practices and proven business tactics to build success, with experience in leading others.
Demonstrated experience raising substantial funds or sponsorships.
Demonstrated success in developing diverse revenue streams, with experience in forecasting revenue and preparing and administering a budget.
Working knowledge of regional community and extensive network.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,200.00 - $78,100.00 per year
