Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, and Word in particular) is required. Prior experience with QuickBooks would be beneficial (but is not mandatory) as you will be responsible for the maintenance of multiple accounts, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, monthly financial reports, account reconciliation, financial statements, file and records management, and audit preparation.

Since our association provides services to meet the ever-changing needs of our members, our jobs evolve as well. This is a small office and we “do it all,” working to meet our goals, objectives, and to best represent our members.

*The office is currently on the south side of Rockford with plans to relocate within the next few months.

Requirements:

  • Professionalism
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, and Word in particular)
  • Experience with QuickBooks would be beneficial
  • Understanding of a bookkeeper's duties and responsibilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Time management skills, proven ability to work independently, to prioritize tasks, and to meet deadlines
  • Aptness to represent the Executive Director, Executive Assistant, association and its members
  • Previous office management experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Driver's License
