“You should run for office.” Is this something you’ve heard from friends or clients before? Have you ever given it serious thought but don't know where to begin? 

The Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the NorthWest Illinois Alliance of REALTORS® is hosting a non-partisan political campaign training to help those interested in running for office learn more. You’ll receive an overview of all facets of running a successful campaign from Illinois REALTORS® political staff. You’ll also hear tips and insights from some of Illinois’ top political consultants. 

Topics include: Why run, Campaign Planning/Budget, Getting on the Ballot, Fundraising, Getting Your Message Out and more.

Our presenter for this event will be Gideon Blustein.  

Gideon Blustein serves the Illinois REALTORS® as Senior Director of Advocacy Programs. Blustein’s former professional roles include Congressional District Director, Congressional Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of an Illinois State Agency. He has also run local, state and federal political campaigns. Blustein is a graduate of the University of Illinois and earned a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.
