About

Nathan Kaufman founded Forgewise LLC to solve a problem he lived firsthand: small DoD subcontractors facing CMMC Level 2 requirements with no roadmap, a tight deadline to be compliant, and enterprise-priced consultants who cost an arm and a leg. With more than 25 years in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud architecture, Nathan brings in the trenches level depth, not slide-deck theory.

At his prior role as Director of IT for a DoD subcontractor, Nathan built the IT department from scratch, architected a dual-environment compliance infrastructure using on-premises Hyper-V for FCI and Azure GCC High for CUI, and drove the organization to full CMMC Level 2 compliance and passed the C3PAO audit. This was all done while completing an M&A integration ahead of schedule. That real-world experience is the foundation every Forgewise engagement is built on.
